Sample cover letter for Internship position at European Investment Bank

Finance Internship

To whom it may concern,

It is with great enthusiasm that I submit my application for the European Investment Bank Finance Trainee program. As a fresh University of Warsaw graduate with deep interest in finance I hope my diverse skills and cheerful attitude would make me an asset to European Investment Bank.

Thinking about the best place to develop myself and accelerate my professional career I’ve realized that one of the crucial conditions is working for a multicultural institution which stands for economic empowerement and give a boost to our continent. Recently there has been considerable debate about the future of European Union. All these Grexit, Brexit (and even Frexit!) stories made me anxious in the first place, but later… they encouraged me to make my own step and support the European community and dedicate my skills to one of the EU flagship initiatives. The choice for me really came down to which institutions I feel like I share values and ideas with. And then, watching this video - – it left me no doubt.

Taking into consideration my field of interests and education it goes without saying that EIB will be best-suited place to develop my skills and let me contribute in tightening European togetherness in order to make a real impact on improving people’s standard of living. I really hope to participate in working for an institution that emobodies the idea of building the robust future of European Union’s economy.

In closing I am thrilled at the possibility of being involved in EIB projects. Playing a part in this international environment would be a huge honour. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any further questions. I appreciate your consideration and look forward to hearing from you.

Yours sincerely,
