Dear Mr. Neale,

My name is Ryan Wood, a collegiate Athlete and third year Business Administration Major with a double concentration in Marketing and International Business. I pride myself on being a hard working individual who places the customer at the center of delivery of all tasks by acting as a team player thereby ensuring high standards of service. My motivation stems from my passion for sustainable development and problem solving. Debra Cruz in the department of Career Counseling at Whittier College recommended I apply for an internship with Expeditors this upcoming summer. As a company that shares the same visions as I do in promoting sustainability, environmental stewardship and consistently exceeding its customer’s expectations I believe I would be the perfect fit for Expeditors.

As a potential intern I would be able to offer a wide variety of skills and experience that would be of interest to you. I have experienced the business world ever since the age of 16 when first becoming employed. Money isn’t the motive for me but passion, learning and growing as an individual. I am one of the hardest workers you will ever meet, keeping a key set of ethics and morals close to my heart. Over the past 5 years I have gathered experience in numerous sectors of the business world. Interning for more than 5 different companies I can say I am a highly motivated, dependable, enthusiastic and confident young man who sees a goal and will do everything possible to achieve it. Customer service is one of my strongest areas of expertise; being a people person and making customers feel valued and supported is what drives me. With Expeditors customer service is part of the culture and this is one of the biggest reasons I wish to be too.

I believe that my skills and experience make me an excellent match for Expeditors, with the opportunity to work for a fortune 500 company, the biggest in its industry and one that holds the same values as I do, would be a true honor and great chance to learn from the best. Thank you Neale for taking the time to read this letter. I look forward to hearing from you in the near future.

Respectfully

Ryan Wood
