Sample cover letter for Internship position at Facebook

I am applying for the fixed income division within Macquarie’s summer internship in 2015. I have a strong interest for fixed income trading due to the wide range of work which is undertook within this division, including both micro and macroeconomic material. The relationship between interest rates and returns on investment in Government bonds trading is something I find very interesting; to me this is what real world economics is all about. In addition, the opportunity to also trade corporate bonds is extremely interesting, as each deal is different from the other depending on the firm, and its risk level, which off-course effects the yield of investment.

I am also attracted to the global, constantly changing nature of the work undertook by someone working in the currencies division. The number of different products offered to investors and the systems used by traders, exposes traders to the very latest technology, and latest information, both of which I love in my everyday life. Often me and my brother trade currencies on the Forex market. My success sparked my interest in trading currencies, and I know is something I want to do in my career.
