Sample cover letter for Internship position at Facebook

My education has prepared me a very strong quantitative background so that I am able to apply my mathematical and programming skills to financial problems. I was involved in a research project that enabled me to apply computing and statistical skills to creatively explore an underlying pattern of stock return. Since the stocks used in that project were from 11 countries, some of which are developed countries and some of which are emerging countries, I gained valuable experience performing macroeconomic analyses of a single country or region. Also, my internship experience at China Construction Bank gave me exposure to managing risks across various financial instruments in a dynamic market.
