Sample cover letter for Internship position at Facebook

POSITION:

Marketing Intern

I am writing this letter to motivate my application for a job position in the Marketing Department at Facebook. Kick starting my professional career in the Marketing Department of a prestigious tech company has long been my aspiration. Becoming a Facebook employee would represent the realisation of a long-standing dream.

Facebook possesses a data-led culture which it is able to blend with great communication and content. As a Marketing student, I perfectly realise that working in such a context would offer me an invaluable opportunity to improve my analytical abilities, abilities that I perceive will become more and more central in the upcoming years. What is more, being at the forefront of technological innovation, Facebook would offer the privilege of staying up to date on the latest online tools and trends in the Marketing sector.

Many are the reasons why I believe that my profile would fit perfectly with a job position in the Marketing Department at Facebook. My background includes both an excellent academic record and practical experience in the Marketing field. While academia is teaching me the values of critical thinking and through problem analysis, my daily work responsibilities allow me to apply my theoretical knowledge as well as to learn skill and competencies that cannot be easily acquired in class.

To conclude, I have always been a highly motivated and hardworking person, two aspects that I perceive as the basement of my personality. I love to work in multicultural environments and to expose myself to new ideas. I am confident that these characteristics of my personality outweigh my lack of direct work experience in big Multinational companies and make me the right candidate for a job position in the Marketing Department at Facebook. I look forward to hearing from you.
