Sample cover letter for Internship position at Facern

POSITION:

Intern

Dear Elizabeth,

Having interviewed with Accenture and speaking with you last year, I learned just how successful a consulting firm Accenture is. Accenture works with a diverse set of customers, improving everything from supply chains to strategy, and I am eager to apply my skills and abilities as a part of your company. I believe I would be an excellent fit for a Management Consulting Internship with Accenture because of my experience with and passion for creative problem-solving and analytical work.

As highlighted in my resume, I am currently a junior at the Pennsylvania State University pursuing a double major in industrial engineering and economics. These two fields of study have given me a unique perspective in examining process components while looking at the overall big picture effect, analytical skills that would very useful in a management consulting position. In particular, my minor in six sigma has provided me with extensive experience through various case studies and projects in identifying areas needing and designing improvement.

I applied my problem-solving and analytical abilities last summer as a Project Management Intern with McKesson Pharmaceutical Systems in Pittsburgh. Though I had never used Microsoft Sharepoint prior to working with McKesson, I successfully used this software to create and implement an online workflow system for project change requests. The new system was well received by both the Project Managers requesting project changes as well as upper-level managers who would approve these requests. The Sharepoint workflow system continues to be used by McKesson’s Project Management Office.

I am extremely eager to begin exploring the field of management consulting with Accenture and would love to share more about my qualifications in an interview. I can be reached at Thank you for your time and consideration and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Sincerely,
