Sample cover letter for Internship position at Ferrari

POSITION:

Marketing Analyst

To whom it may concern,

There are a number of reasons that made me decide to apply for this internship as Sales & Marketing Assistant, in a company like Hermes, and each of them are dictated by different factors that have always been present in my life.

As a first factor, I want to put the sense and the effect that the name Ferrari makes on passionate people like me. Since I was a child, the small horse with the yellow background, has represented something attractive to me, something that has a mesmerizing effect on me.

The passion for motorsport and for Ferrari has accompanied me since the first years of my life, where Ferrari collection models represented the best toy my parents could ever gift to me. Year by year, this passion has changed shape, and having had the luck to dispute numerous seasons of karting at national and international level, made me aware about the real values that are fundamental for success, both on the track and in my life. Ferrari in that period became the dreamed goal of my career in this sport. Nowadays, I realized how difficult it is to become a professional driver, but even though I put aside this dream of mine, I am strongly convinced that the baggage of values my agonistic experience has donate me, is a solid background, that mixed with the knowledge assumed in my academic studies, is making me capable of consider Ferrari as a crucial objective for my professional career.

The second factor that motivate me to look up to Ferrari, is the close relationship with my field of studies. Indeed, after my Bachelor Degree of Management, I decided to pursue a Master Degree in Fashion, Design and Luxury Management at Grenoble Ecole de Management in Paris. The luxury market and the product commercialized in it, represent something on what I am really keen on. I think that there are two main values that distinguished a luxury product from a mass market one, culture and heritage and that two pervade from decades the spirit of Ferrari. Moreover, the concept of storytelling that is hyper-heard during my courses, here is clear and perceptible through all the channels. Be part of the team that permit to transfer this aspect to the consumer, it represents an honor for me.

With both the analytical and practical skills I had acquired during my Marketing, Distribution Channels, Digital Marketing in the Fashion Industry, Integrated Communications Strategy courses, I believe I could add value to the work your team performs on a daily basis.

The operational and analitics actions in which the Sales and Marketing office is involved, represent to me the most significant components at the base of the development and success of one product. To be an active part of those decisions, to follow directly the market results of a reality like Ferrari, and to develop a series of consumer oriented operations, will enhance me with significant skills, that will then become crucial pillars to build a career path in that company, hoping to return on tracks, on the other side of the pit lane, catching my dream of being part of the organic of the GES Ferrari team in F1 championship.

I also had the unique occasion to meet your Product Marketing Director, Nicola Boari, in Maranello and, understanding how much he is prepared and motivated, I believe it will be an incredible privilege to be part of the team directed by him.

Sincerely, Michele Bonacina
