I am writing to express my interest in the Summer 2017 Internship at Fisher Investments. Currently, I am pursuing a degree in Economics and a Certificate in Personal & Organizational Leadership at The University of X. My strong dedication to community service in addition to my leadership, communication, and problem solving skills that I gained from my internships and coursework demonstrate that I am a qualified candidate for this position. 

My interest in Investment Management stems from a desire to help others and a love of learning. I have an extensive background in community service, and I initially pursued a career in the non-profit sector. However, I quickly realized that service is significantly more impactful on an organizational scale. Following this realization, I sought out an internship at X Company where I conducted research to help a Nature Center find strategies to increase young adult attendance. At that point, I knew that I wanted a career where I could help others by using specific skills that I had gained through my coursework. As I progressed in my business coursework, I was fascinated by the way money can grow when managed properly. Ultimately, I enjoy that I can use my strong communication and analytical skills to help others manage their money.I have demonstrated my problem-solving ability and capacity for learning new skills quickly during my marketing internship at Y Company. At my internship, when the email template I designed unexpectedly had to be manually converted into HTML code in order to be compatible with Oracle Eloqua, I taught myself how to code an HTML/CSS email template using online tutorials and refined it to ensure compatibility with mobile devices. I believe that my ability to learn new skills quickly will make me a valuable member of the Fisher Investment teams.
