Sample cover letter for Internship position at Golden States Warriors

POSITION:

Media Relationship

Dear Hiring Professional,

I have always believed that if a team can win on the court, so can it win off the court. A franchise cannot succeed without an excellent business team. With the best record in the NBA this season, the Warriors have attracted my special attention. I am interested in a career in sport PR and marketing and am planning to relocate to the Bay area in the near future. So when I was browsing the Warriors official website and saw the Warriors 2015 Summer Internship Program, I was really excited.

I am currently a graduate Sport Management student at the University of Texas at Austin. I also have a Bachelor’s Degree in Sport Communication from Beijing Sport University. Additionally, I have PR and marketing experience as a PR Client Manager and founder of a basketball organization, as well as media experience as a Sport Reporter and Commentator.

My resume, which is enclosed, contains additional information on my experience and skills. I would appreciate the opportunity to discuss the PR and Marketing Internship with you and provide further information on my candidacy. I can be reached via my cell phone, xxx-xxx-xxxx or by email at xxxxxxx.

Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to speaking with you about this exciting opportunity.
