My name is Salvatore Loris and I would like to express my interest in applying for the Investment Banking Analyst Internship at the Barclays office in New York. I am a sophomore economics major at Saint Michael’s college and came across this opportunity while researching potential internships on the Internet. I am interested in gaining valuable experience and knowledge in the field of investment banking and would love to be able to start my career in this industry with a company as prominent as Barclays.
My prior job experience has seen a variety of workplaces. During my time at McDonald’s I was able to work with a very diverse group of employees and had the experience of being a low level employee at a very established and well ran cooperation. Here, I dealt with a fast-paced environment where I was good at communicating with customers as well as working with fellow employees. I was also able to practice my team working ability in my job as a carpenter’s assistant. Critical thinking skills and being on the same page as my boss were crucial to being effective at this job.
