Sample cover letter for Internship position at Greenorder

POSITION:

Internal relations

I first learned of GreenOrder when ------- spoke on “Using Green to Win: Sustainable Innovation and Competitiveness” at Vanderbilt University this fall, and have been very interested in GreenOrder’s interdisciplinary approach to using green leadership to spur innovation, enhance competitiveness, and boost profits for clients. I was very pleased to see on your website that you are accepting applications for an Analyst position, and I am writing to submit my application. As an Intern at The Tennessee Environmental Council, I gained and enhanced several skills. I was part of an environmental council team which reviewed sustainability practices for higher education initiatives across the state. From developing marketing materials to presenting on our findings, I gained valuable experience and a passion for protecting our environment. As an undergraduate majoring in earth and environmental sciences at Vanderbilt University, I have developed quantitative and analytical skills. This fall, I was chosen as a TA for the environmental modeling class and assisted the professor with curriculum development and classroom teaching. This experience has further increased my skills and passion for environmental sustainability. With my quantitative training, creative problem-solving skills, relevant coursework and professional experience, I am confident of excelling in the position of Analyst at GreenOrder. I hope you will find my knowledge and experience a great potential addition to GreenOrder and look forward to discussing with you further the possibility of putting my skills to work for your organization. Thank you for your consideration, and I look forward to hearing from you.
