I am applying for the 2-Year Analyst position for the upcoming year following my graduation from Villanova University in May 2017. Gurtin affords me the opportunity to learn the financial market business at a strong company. The Gurtin philosophy of using independent research to ensure the success and comfort of their clients lends itself to a positive, ethical work environment. The 2-Year Analyst position is an ideal entry level job for a non-business major like myself. The rotational program will allow me to pinpoint my interest in financial markets in order to find a position that will maximize my contribution to the company after the program concludes. I am interested in rotating through your Advisory Services department, as the field of advising will help me gain experience working in a client based environment. (Having a fellow Villanova Wildcat on the team doesn’t hurt either!) I am also interested in the Investment Research & Strategy department. I feel that the credit analysis conducted there will provide a challenging learning experience. As for the location, I am interested in relocating to San Diego as recent visit to the area has opened my eyes to the opportunity that is present there. As a quick internet search can confirm, there are many successful companies headquartered in San Diego, making career growth easily achievable.

Senior year has begun at Villanova University, with my expected graduation from their Computer Engineering program being in May 2017. Holding a part time job while being a full time student through college, I have learned to manage my time well. I believe the experiences I have working on teams for technical projects prepares me to contribute to your team-oriented company. Our team-building, problem solving approach at the Villanova College of Engineering translates well to the workplace. 

Using my past experiences and the skills they helped me to acquire, I believe that I can contribute to your company and fill your position well. It is my hope that my talents make me a good candidate for your position.
