Dear Hiring Manager,
I will be graduating from the University of Florida in May 2016 with a Bachelors of Arts in Public Relations. I am interested in the Fall 2015 Criser Internship specifically in the field of public relations and social media. I believe that my education background in social media and public relations and love of art qualifies me for this position.
My junior year at the University of Florida I had the opportunity to become the public relations director for two organizations: Being A Girl and Gators for Sickle Cell Warriors. During my tenure as public relations director at both of these organizations I was in charge of managing the public relations committee and providing marketing and strategy advice. I also managed the various social media outlets. Some of the social media accounts that I managed were: Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. In addition to my experience as public relations director I also have taken college courses which I believe have given me education in the field of social media and research. Some of the classes are: Social Media Management, Introduction to Public Relations, Multimedia Reporting, Public Relations Research and Public Relations Strategy. I am also familiar SEO and SMO as well as analyzing content and to select content that is relevant to the target audience.
I am confident that I would be a successful addition to the Harns Museum. Recently the Harns Museum hosted Monet and the American Impressionism which focused on 25 artists who started the impressionism. The impressionism is my favorite period of art history. One of my favorite impressionism artist is Vincent van Gogh. I am sad that I missed the opportunity to be a part of the public relations committee to plan this event, but I would like to be a part of the public relations team that plans the Harns Museum’s 25th Candles celebration.
