Sample cover letter for Internship position at I LOVE FREE CONCERTS

POSITION:

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

I am writing as an applicant for an internship position in your business development department for Fall 2015. Attached is my resume.

Over the summer, I received an email from I Love Free Concerts stating that in August, there was a possibility that I Love Free Concerts may end because Matt wanted to pursue a new direction. Well, obviously you've endured that obstacle, and are continuing your journey. I'd like to be part of that journey, and discover new opportunities along the way.

Most of my work experience has been in business development. When I was in high school, I was involved in my parents' grocery store, and assisted in their transition from an Asian grocery store to an international grocery store. The business is thriving with at least a ten percent profit increase each year since its been open. My more recent experience with business development has been with a startup called the Helm Society. The Helm Society is an event services platform that gathers CEOs together so they can collaborate on any challenges they may have. One issue the Helm had was its events were too "corporate".Then I pitched the question, "How do we make meetings an experience?" That is now the core internal mission at Helm.

I will be an asset to your company, and look forward to hearing from you. You can reach me by email at (email) or by phone at (phone number).
