Sample cover letter for Internship position at IIFT (Indian Institute of Foreign Trade)

Today I went through your website http://wtocentre.iift.ac.in/work.asp and found out that you invite students from reputed institutions to work as interns on areas related to trade. I am a Masters (Economics) student. I have finished first year of my programme this month and looking forward for an internship. I am very eager to work as an intern with your prestigious organization and so I have enclosed my CV for your consideration. I have a lot of interest in International Relations and International Trade and I am also planning to do my Masters thesis in the second year of my MS programme (which is going to start from first week of August this year) on the ‘application of Game theoretic models in Wars, International relations and Trade’. I can work till end of July. My long term career goal is to continue to learn and grow my skills and abilities, whilst utilizing my experience, knowledge and skills to benefit any employer I am working for. Working with your organization will also contribute a lot in my thesis. I believe that my enthusiasm and willingness to learn make me a strong candidate. I would be grateful if you would contact me if you have any vacancies in your organization, or keep my information on file in case of openings in near future (in next 1 month or so).
