Sample cover letter for Internship position at ILA

Dear Sir,

I am writing you today to express my interest in the teaching assistant position that you are recruiting. Hopefully this correspondence will adequately demonstrate my excitement in the position as well as my qualifications for it.

Currently I am a sophomore of Economics University, majoring in Advanced Finance. However, I have been in the field of education for the past two years since I was tutoring English for six students in total. I feel I am ideally suited to the vacancy in view of my experience, creative abilities, nuturing attidtude and most of all my patient manner. I consider my biggest strengths being my ability to plan effective teaching activities and to make learning a fun experience for children.

I am also very excited to work within the structure that ILA has built. I have noted the opportunities and precious experience that ILA can give to teaching assistants that show their enthusiasm for students. I am sure you will see that my excitement for the job will not wane with time. This is one of my abiding characteristics as well as being motivated to give my best at each time.

I see ILA as being progressive and I look forward to the opportunity of being able to contribute to its' continued success. I would most welcome an interview and hope to hear from you at your earliest convenience.
