Dear IRENA Recruitment Team,

I would like to express my interest in Junior Professional Associates Program. I am captivated by significant responsibilities IRENA offers and its ample opportunities to excel as a professional who contributes to promoting sustainable use of renewable energy in a worldwide scale.

Working as a team at Interdisciplinary Environmental Clinic, I supported the enforcement of Clean Power Plan to local utilities including assistance to preparation of webinars and conference with the governmental agencies, internal coordination, strategic communications and stakeholder relations. As a major contribution, I generated excel charts to present CO₂ emission and REC (Renewable Energy Credit) status of local coal power plants based on their annual reports. Calculating the missing data based on the given data and extrapolating the model, I demonstrated my analytical skills based on quantitative and qualitative data.

Through my education, I equipped myself with technical knowledge in renewable energy and hands-on R&D experiences in solar cells and biomass energy. As I evaluated the implementation of ABE fermentation and distillation columns in technical, economic and environmental aspects, I strengthened my interdisciplinary understanding of renewable energy technology with emphasis on technical knowledge. In particular, the challenge of getting rid of the cooling tower from the design to avoid the overbudget improved my assessment skills in success-failure factors of a technology.

Through my experiences and academic background, I have acquired determination, independence, initiative, and the ability to learn quickly and apply that learning proactively. Equipped with interpersonal skills enhanced by education in technical background, and bolstered by unique experiences, I am confident that I can contribute significantly to IRENA.
