Sample cover letter for Internship position at IRS

POSITION:

Investigative analyst

Throughout the years, I have gained the expertise needed to deliver excellent results in a timely manner and have gained the ability to thrive in a team based environment. As I approach the next big step in my career, I would like to apply for the internship position of investigative analyst with vacancy identification number: 15CE3-CIX0057-0000-00-VP posted in USAJOBS. For your immediate review and consideration, please find the uploaded copy of my resume.

I am a superb candidate for the job because my consistent and determined efforts have led to excellent results during my academic career and have developed my ability to quickly and strongly internalize any unfamiliar or new concepts and methods. As a result, I have become an individual who is well trained and knowledgeable in a multitude of subjects and is able to lead and adapt to a variety of unexpected situations. These skills carried over to my most recent job as an administrative assistant where I was quickly assimilated into the team. In that position I swiftly proved my technical knowledge through successful market and financial research and analysis. I also led a proposal to switch the office communications service to a more effective and less expensive provider which saved the company $900 that year. I was then given the position of IT officer which expanded my responsibilities related to the computing and networking of the office.

Uploaded on my profile is a copy of my resume. If you wish to meet me in person I am available for an interview any time on Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday. Feel free to contact me at the phone number or the email listed above. Thank you greatly in advance for your consideration.
