Sample cover letter for Internship position at ITS

POSITION:

Computer Tech

To whom it may concern:

I am a upcoming third year at the Rochester Institute of Technology University interested

in interviewing for a job within the RIT ITS Resnet Company. If hired, I aim to utilize my

problem solving abilities and computer knowledge to their fullest in order to better our

campus experience. I believe that RIT ITS Resent has the ideal culture in which to pursue

my goals within the Computer Engineering field.

I have prior knowledge and experience in computer repairs and technical issues through

the many years of servicing friend’s and family’s computers. The greatest joy for me was to

work around something that I enjoyed doing as not a hobby, but also a job. Starting out

from junior high and building my first computer barely 12 years old. The greatest outcome

of this experience was the culmination of everything I learned from either from research

online or from trial and error. I love to throw myself into a challenge for the sake of

learning something new, even if it is something I have absolutely no experience in.

I would consider myself a computer expert where my extensive knowledge does not only

include hardware, but also branches into software. At RIT, I study in the field of Computer

Engineering, where I have implemented multiple languages such as Python and Java for

problem solving. Beginning of my freshman year, two friends and I created a small

computer building/repairing company for students. Through that experience, I learned

how to manage my time with school, but also have an active role to customers.

I believe that with my vast technical knowledge and charisma, I would be a very good fit for

RIT ITS Resnet. I hope that you will find my education, work experience, and professional

aspirations fit with your company’s needs. Thank you for your time and considerations and

I hope to hear from you in the near future.

Respectfully yours,
