It is with great enthusiasm that I submit my application for summer audit internship at Insero & Company that I found out about through somewhere. As I browsed company’s website, I admired Insero &Co’s values of emphasizing clients in business because I am a people person and I get a sense of achievement along with further incentives when my work meets clients’ expectations. I will graduate in May 2017 from a college with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, and with my passion in accounting, I will be ready to take my in-class knowledge to practice, especially in a friendly and success-driven workplace like Insero &Co.

As a college senior, I finished most of my major courses and currently am taking audit and tax accounting classes, which prepares me to have the fundamental knowledge in academic aspect. Last summer, I interned as the manager assistant at somewhere Inc., a local firm in my hometown. I assisted in company’s ledger recording process, and it was the first time I could actually use the information I learned in class. I developed the ability to deal with difficult situations that I could not meet in a textbook with the help of the company’s accountant. Besides doing leger work, I also liaised with clients. I actively updated and exchanged information with clients on the heating system installation process to make sure we were on the same page. In addition, I responded to the concerns that clients had during project, and my communication skills were recognized and developed through this part of job.

During this summer, I interned in KPMG Beijing Deal Advisory/Transaction Service department. thanks to that Projects in this department have the feature of short period, I could follow many projects of different industry in a short period of time, and the experience gave me a wide range of knowledge. My Excel and PowerPoint skills enabled me to work with analysts on projects, and at the same time, my research and analysis ability developed in the process of preparing report for merger and acquisition projects. Besides all accounting related work, I also translated the English reports written by Italian clients into Chinese, and this job developed my ability to understand the logics of people from different country.
