Dear Intel team,

I am very excited to be applying for the finance business analyst position at Intel. I am participating in the 2014 Intel Finance Strategy Case Competition at UCLA. I spoke to John and Dmitriy at the informational meeting and talked about the company and careers at Intel. I’m interested in finance and am thrilled to be participating in the case competition this week. I offer 3 years of academic achievement in economics and statistics, creative problem solving and analytical skills, and the ability to excel in both social and professional settings.

I have some limited experience with writing Excel macros and using Excel and MySQL, and throughout my coursework will be working with programs like R, Stata, SAS and LaTeX, which will help me in learning the necessary tools at Intel. This coupled with my knowledge gained from coursework in economics and statistics will help me analyze data trends. I have also worked at a telecommunications company, giving me some background in the tech industry.

I am a fast learner and logical thinker, as evidenced by my internship at Lemko Corporation where I quickly learned the Excel, MySQL, and Linux skills to test their cellular communication nodes. On top of that, I have a deep interest in value analysis, finance, and big data.
