Sample cover letter for Full Time position at Invesco

POSITION:

Investment Analyst

Dear Sir/ Madame

I am writing this letter to present my interest for the Investment Analyst position at Invesco. This position will allow me the further my horizons and apply all that I have learned during my tenure in school. I believe my experience in finance will be of great asset.

Previously I have completed internships with MTL Capital, Manulife Financial and Goldman Sachs. During my time with MTL Capital, I prepared industry analysis to evaluate potential industry attractiveness. There I also analyzed confidential information memorandums for small-medium enterprises and evaluated potential acquisition targets based on EBITA margin, growth prospects and solvency. In my role with Manulife, I supported the trading floor by testing various applications and creating training documents for these applications. I helped create detailed installation packages for Bloomberg, Factset, Capital IQ, Tableau and Reuters 3000. There I learned to work under pressure from the traders where each request is critical to the success of the firm. During my tenure at Goldman Sachs, I provided information technology support for the Investment Banking Division. There I learned to multitask and meet strict deadlines. I developed strong multitasking skills by simultaneously working on a wide variety of projects including the office wide WiFi project and the Windows 7 migration project.

This June, I was able to further my financial knowledge by completing CFA level 2. Thank you for taking the time to review my resume. I look forward to speaking with you soon about how I can contribute to Invesco.

Thank you,

Sincerely,
