Sample cover letter for Internship position at JP Morgan

I am writing to apply for the Investor Services Summer Analyst Programme with J.P Morgan. I am a final year student at the XXXXXXX pursuing a XXXXXX. I have a strong interest in the financial sector.

I have always been looking for opportunities to learn more about the financial industry and I have done four internships with roles in banking, insurance and supply chain finance.

I have taken a semester break from school in 2013 for an internship opportunity with XXXXXX in the Corporate and Investment Banking division. I have the opportunity to work with relationship managers to liaise with clients and assist my team in the preparation of the pitch books. I was also involved in conducting risk assessment and working with the products team in coming up with solutions for clients

Last summer, I did an internship with the XXXXX in its Asia Pacific Supply Chain Finance department where I was involved in analyzing supply chain cost-saving initiatives, I took up this internship as I wanted to learn more about the corporate banking from the perspective of businesses.

After various internship experiences, I found corporate and investment banking division a match with my interest and strength and I hope to build my career with a bank like J.P. Morgan where there are huge learning opportunities and global diversity.

I believe my previous experience in corporate banking and my learning from the other internship exposures will help me to contribute to the Investor Services team at J.P Morgan. I am a self-motivated team player who is eager and willing to learn more about the banking sector.
