Sample cover letter for Internship position at JP morgan

POSITION:

Summer annalyst

I am in the final year of a Financial Engineering degree at Paris Dauphine University. During my degree program I discovered an industry that I found fascinating. I would like to carry on developing the essential skills for a Sales and Trading role. I have acquired a very strong background in the mathematical techniques and I am a hard working individual that can work under stress and do not hesitate to work extra hours to get things done. This includes my hobbies such as swimming in which I spent 5 hours a day to prepare the National Championship. I believe that my swimming experience prepared me to work and succeed at JP Morgan. The most important lessons included understanding the relationship between hard work and long-term results, as well as the willingness to focus on the tedious daily habits necessary to make that steady progress.

Throught my internship as IT Project Analyst and in my capacity as Sales assistant at Schneider Electric International I have been extensively exposed and challenged to client’s issues. I have developed a good understanding of client’s needs, strong communication. This experience has enabled me to handle a wide range of tasks with autonomy.

I apply to JP Morgan because of your leading position in equity derivatives. I would like to be part of one of the best Sales and Trading department in which people on the floor are easily approachable. I also enjoy your firm’s culture. I had the chance to meet your team during an event and they felt like they had a family here at work. These are the aspects of your company which I find to be the most challenging and I am particularly attracted by the idea of working in an environment in which day-to-day experience changes.
