Sample cover letter for Internship position at Joe's Electric Truck

POSITION:

Analyst

I am highly interested in an internship that can help further my knowledge in the real world of business while giving me a chance to interact with experienced employees. While I was searching the Internet for an opportunity to reach out for an internship, I came across an internship opening on the website blank. Here the post that caught my eye had a title asking for summer finance inters. In the summary about the internship it listed some requirements, one of which included a college major in business or economics. With my major including quite a bit of economic courses that are full of analytical tasks, I felt I would be a good match. As I read further into the details of the responsibilities I learned that this internship requires a good portion Microsoft Excel and Word. The courses I have completed at Blank, and am currently enrolled in, require constant use of both applications. Having this previous experience furthered my thoughts that I would fit in well in this environment. Organizational skills are also something I posses which is another attribute that this internship requires.

Working somewhere as well known as Blank would be an amazing opportunity. The experience that could be gained from real work-class employees would be extremely beneficial as my working career moves forward. With an education in the Internship’s focus I truly believe I would be able to impact the employees working with me. My interest in the utilities and energy business that Blank is part of is not the only reason I would love a chance to intern here.
