Sample cover letter for Internship position at Johnson and Johnson

POSITION:

Supply Chain

Dear Hiring Manager,

I am interested in Johnson and Johnson’s Summer 2016 Supply Chain internship. I became aware of this opportunity through research on J&J’s online career board. The supply chain internship caught my attention because of J&J’s reputation as a leader in the health-care consumer goods and manufacturing industry as well as their ability to bring quality products to the market that benefit the well-being of customers. I am seeking the opportunity to use my problem solving skills and healthcare background to gain experience in areas such as project management in order to impact the company and the lives of individuals.

Through my various leadership positions and experiences on campus, I have developed skills necessary to succeed in J&J’s internship. As a Peer Health Advisor, I work daily to communicate and present vital health programs to students across campus through facilitations and discussions. My position allows me to be a leader and communicator in healthcare policy and reform on campus, improving the lives of my classmates. The opportunity has also taught me the process of project management from development to implementation following a strict timeline.

I am a dedicated individual that is seeking the opportunity to work with Johnson and Johnson during the summer of 2016. I am a fast learner unafraid to tackle new challenges head on. I believe my ambition strongly aligns with J&J’s work to improve lives of its customers and I welcome the opportunity to further discuss my experiences and the position with you. I look forward to hearing from you and I appreciate your time and consideration.
