Dear Hiring Manager,
I am a first-year student at the Simon Fraser University planning on pursuing a career in technology consulting. While attending your company’s presentation on 15-Jan-2015, I was particularly impressed with the entrepreneurial mindset of Deloitte consultants and their emphasis on both the qualitative side of problem as well quantitative side of data analysis.
I believe that my background in telecom consulting and system integration combined with my exposure to program management for one of the biggest telecom OEMs and product deployment for the biggest service providers of United States would be a strong fit for Deloitte. Therefore, I am writing to request an interview for the position of Senior Consultant, Technology, Graduate-Summer-Internship.
Prior to attending Sauder, I acquired a diverse set of management experience in telecom software life cycle and entrepreneurial skills. My experience working directly with Executive Managing Director of Beta Technology and Vice President of their biggest customer Gama Inc. USA, for their cloud based SaaS and network equipment will enable me to immediately grasp technology issues in client businesses. My role as a Project Manager at Delta, USA, gave me an opportunity to interact with senior management and different function heads in foreign affiliates and to gain management experience with a global perspective. I led multi-location cross-functional teams in India and United States to drive telecom consulting. I believe that my exposure to senior management and to the diverse customer base of North America and Europe, combined with the skills I gained as a Technology Consultant – analytical thinking, team leadership, and client relationship management - will allow me to make an immediate impact at Deloitte.
