Sample cover letter for Internship position at Kohler

POSITION:

Mechanical Engineering Co-op

Dear Recruiting Team,

This is a letter accompanied by my resume as an expression of my interest for a position in your organization. As my resume indicates, I’m a graduate mechanical student at XXX, looking for summer 16 intern/co-op opportunities, in the field of Design and Manufacturing.

My academic standings have always been at the prime status, giving me a strong technical background in CAD and Mechanics at undergraduate level and in product development, FEA and Manufacturing at the graduate level. I have also gained professional experience in Catia, Pro-e, NX and Hypermesh through various projects and enterprise.

This can be reflected from the fact that I was accepted by one the world’s leading automobile manufacturers, i.e. Toyota. My years’ experience at Toyota gave me immense knowledge about CAD in Catia, project management, Kaizan and continuous improvement. I was able to learn the importance of working as a team, within an organization and was also given an opportunity to train 2 new interns. Interaction with many international supplier companies has helped me gain knowledge about best ideas and practices in other organizations and shape my overall professional characteristics.

I was very excited after interaction with Kohler team at Spring 16 career fair at XXX. Your thoughts about involving an intern/coop student in your future projects to re-establish the entire manufacturing line excited me to be a part of Kohler.

I believe that you would find me as an excellent candidate for this position. Looking forward to hear from you. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,

XXX
