Please accept my enthusiastic application for the internship program at MetLife. I am a senior at Pace University pursuing a degree in Finance. I am eager to join a world-class organization such as MetLife. Both my experiences and education have provided me the skills and qualifications required to make significant contribution to your organization.

As you will see from the attached resume, I have built my experiences in a variety of roles and industries. Most recently, I worked at Univision Communications Inc. where I assisted the Sourcing & Procurement team with working capital improvement, contract management and procure to pay transitions. My previous experience at Univision and Diesel, allowed me to put into practice my understanding behind the principles of finance and accounting, and acquire skills in most types of financial statements. My experience at the NYMEX taught me how to understand derivatives, interact with institutional clients and ensure proper handling of customer orders and market valuations. In addition, my background in both North America and Latin America as well as fluency in two languages helped me interact with a broad set of clients.

In addition, my professors and previous employers can attest that I am a team player, as well as an attentive listener who is motivated and dependable under pressure. I was a competitive swimmer for many years and as such, learned to work both individually and as part of a team, my involvement in sports has also equipped me with a strong work ethic and competitive spirit. I learned valuable organizational and time-management skills through balancing school and swimming.

I am prepared to contribute positively to your organization with hard work and a strong desire to acquire knowledge.
