Sample cover letter for Internship position at MTA

POSITION:

Analyst

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to express interest in joining your company as ab Analyst. I am a recent graduate from XXXXXX with a B. A. in Mathematics seeking to join a challenging environment with excellent opportunities for career and personal growth under seasoned professionals.

As a summer intern at XXXXXXX, a healthcare consulting company, I performed a dual role as administrative assistant and analyst. In the former, my primary duties included managing the main telephone line and email, directing client communication to the appropriate staff, and scheduling meetings between clients and staff members. My other duties focused on editing and proofreading applications to be sent to the New York State Department of Licensing, requiring strong attention to detail and an unwillingness to let one mistake go unnoticed.

As an analyst-in-training, I worked directly with the CEO to develop and implement consulting solutions for our clients' healthcare businesses. In this client-oriented role, I communicated with clients to ascertain their needs, and after conducting research, suggested possible solutions to the rest of the team. During the implementation process, I provided the client with consistent updates, requested feedback, and answered any questions in a professional and succinct manner. My time at XXXXXX has given me valuable skills that extend to any professional role, especially a comfort in managing high-stakes situations and completing multiple tasks simultaneously under strict deadlines.

In my personal time, I am always eager to learn new technologies and build new skills. For instance, I have taught myself the Python programming language and have written small programs for personal use and as a hobby. As someone who enjoys solving complex and challenging problems, I am convinced that this position would be an excellent fit for me.

I would greatly welcome an opportunity to discuss this position with you. Please feel free to contact me by email or at (XXX) XXX-XXXX with any questions. Thank you, in advance, for your consideration.

Sincerely,
