Sample cover letter for Full Time position at McKinsey and Company

I am writing to express my interest in your Consulting and Business Analyst roles at McKinsey and Company. As you will see from my CV, I am in my final year at the University of Exeter studying Management with Marketing.

I have always loved a challenge – where there are challenges to overcome, there is opportunity and I plan to grow by never stopping myself to take a challenge. Through my leadership roles and responsibilities from high school, I believed that my personality and qualities cover aspects of a consultant but I have never had the experience of it. My internship with Mavericks Indonesia was a challenge that I have overcome and it has convinced me that that I suit and have the passion to fit the role of a consultant.

I am applying to McKinsey because it is an expanding firm with good reputation with its employees and I would like to work in a professional environment like McKinsey. I feel confident that I can meet the challenges presented by a fast-moving business. I have been surrounded with an international community ever since primary and this has hugely contributed towards my listening and communication skills. I enjoy working with others, motivating and working with others towards a common goal.

I wish to explore McKinsey & Company more, understand more about your clients, the people and the company in general from a first-hand experienced.
