Sample cover letter for Internship position at Mckinsey

POSITION:

Business Analyst

Dear Recruiting Manager:

I am applying for a full-time position as an Associate in the New York office of Morgan Stanley. This opportunity came to my attention through the Indeed job posting system. Morgan Stanley is attractive as a reputable financial services company offering challenging and rewarding work and after doing a thorough research of the position, I am even more enticed to apply.

My one and a half year experience as a business data analyst at an e-commerce have prepared me for this operation oriented role. I conducted analysis on internal data to support making marketing and sales strategy and coordinated online marketing campaigns as analysis support. By implementing the marketing and sales proposal, we achieved 15% monthly traffic growth and 21% monthly sales growth. I also served as a consultant manager in Wall Street English of Pearson PLC, an educational company of English. I led my team to achieve the monthly goal and won Top Team Leader Award in the second month, which showed my professional communication skills.

Apart from my experience, I am a financial engineering major from NYU with certificates of business analytics, include business metrics theory, Excel, Tableau, and SQL, by Duke University. In practice, I have done several projects such as analyzing sales performance and trends for Dillard's, by applying analytical approaches like Structured Pyramid Analysis Plan in C++, R, and all the tools above, on real business big data. That has readied me for any challenges in business analysis, quantitative methods, and organizational behavior. I am confident Morgan Stanley will find my contribution to the organization’s growth valuable.

Thank you for your time and consideration. Look forward to discussing the opportunities with you.

Sincerely,

XXX
