I am writing to apply for the Studio Strategy Analyst Intern position at the Kabam San Francisco studio, posted on your website’s career page. I am a junior at Iowa University studying Interactive Media Studies (IMS) with a focus in game design. I am also pursuing a Business Analytics co-major. Being the first to combine data analytics and game design in the IMS program at Miami, I am a unique match to the requirements for this internship.

The attached resume highlights my educational experiences during my time at Iowa University. I possess strong analytical skills from my course work in statistics, yet the primary focus of my major has been game design. I am particularly interested in the user experience and the factors that make a game successful. In one of my most interesting courses, Analysis of Play, we investigated what makes a game, why people play, and the impact games have on culture. This course sparked my interest in the user experience. A key reason that I am excited to apply to your studio is your emphasis on development of AAA games with a focus game design and continual development to keep people playing for a long time.
