Sample cover letter for Internship position at Morgan Stanley

POSITION:

Wealth Management

It is in my best interest to work for J.P.MorganChase, not only because your firm has shown solidity throughout this recent period with its excellent capitalization and profits, but also because of the collegiate environment that provides its juniors with the best possible learning experience. I believe that J.P.MorganChase has been able to maintain its top position within this sector by being results-focused and innovative. During my meeting with Rafael Gazzi, a previous Client Advisor Assistant at UBS, and Yong Han, Chief Risk Officer at HSBC, I received an enlightening insight into Wealth Management, as well as the intensity of the workplace. Given the fast- moving pace of your business and how it works in tandem with innovation and meritocracy; given its top recognition and the greatly supportive environment, I would very much like to work at your firm.

After my experiences at Credit Suisse, Hana Financial group and The Hankyoreh, I very much wish to focus my knowledge on Wealth Management. Through industry specific teams at various banks such as the Analyst team that I worked in at Credit Suisse, and the retail sector of Hana Financial group, as well as attending various talks and seminars provided by the LSE Economics, Finance and Management and Strategy societies, Wealth Management grasped my attention and thought like no other sector within the banking industry. The interpersonal nature, strategic thinking, and the need for astute market knowledge is what attracted me so much to this profession, in which I am cherishing to be a part of.

I believe that my academic background and experiences equip me with the necessary skills to succeed at J.P.MorganChase. I appreciate your time and consideration, and look forward to hearing from you soon.
