During, my bachelor degree I implemented neural network to predict the stock price and also presented a technical paper at a competition variables using neural network for regression and linear regression in R. In order for me to interpret the results based on this data, I taught myself how to use the R language. This has given me the confidence that I can rapidly learn new skills when required to do so.
I have good experience of retail, having worked for a non-profit organisation as a volunteer and recently I was working with Nando’s for over 3 months, as a cashier. This experience has taught me the importance of ascertaining customer’s needs and providing clear and accurate information in response to those needs, and to work effectively in a team. When the situation demanded it, I was always able to manage myself well, take the initiative, work under pressure, and according to time constraints. I also have good Microsoft office word, power point and IT skills from my work experience, and have developed strong customer service skills in these positions, dealing with customers both over the phone and in person.
