Knowing that you are recruiting interns for compliance from your website, I would like to express my interest in this internship program. I strongly believe that my academic qualifications, numerical and analytical skills, and personal qualities will make me an eligible candidate.

I am an undergraduate of the Chinese University of Hong Kong and will graduate in June 2017. My academic concentration in financial and actuarial analysis has polished my numerical and financial analysis skills. For example, in a finance course, I was assigned to complete a project involved comparing two mutual funds to help make investment decision. After collecting and analyzing portfolio data, I wrote a program to build a model for calculating the average duration and the yield to maturity, turning out to be much more accurate and efficient than before.

Through various extra-curriculum activities, I have developed the leadership qualities and the ability to handling challenging working hours. A headlight for me was representing CUHK to participate in the International Inter-varsity Debating Competition as the team leader. Although it was the busiest period of that semester, I managed to organize efficient preparation trainings while meeting the academic need of all team members. I allocated tasks based on everyone’s expertise to maximize the effect of teamwork. All the efforts made us the champion against 24 debating team around the world.
