I am a junior in xxxxx of Business studying Finance with a minor in management and leadership, and I am very excited to be applying for Nielsen’s Finance - 2017 Emerging Leaders Program - Summer Intern program that I learned about through Miami’s career fair. Throughout my academic and professional career I have had the opportunity to develop strong analytical and critical thinking skills which have given me the ability to effectively work in teams of diverse backgrounds as well as independently. I think my collection of skills and experiences make me the perfect candidate for this position.

My academic experience has given me excellent analytical and computer skills. At Miami University I have taken courses dedicated to understanding Microsoft Excel and Office which has given me the ability to understand complex analytical problems which I hope to use to analyze and project financial data. Additionally I have taken general business courses which have helped enhance my professional writing and understanding of how businesses operate. As head of Communication and PR for my fraternity I have developed very strong communication skills. I am tasked with managing our website and various social media accounts to communicate with the University, alumni and parents in a professional manner.
