As a meticulous student the prospect of broadening my horizons by participating as an intern in Oliver Wyman excites me. The opportunity of learning about the risk associated with every financial transaction is one that I am very passionate about and interested in exploring. I consider myself to be an enthusiastic individual who thrives on the challenge in hand, studying Maths with Business management has not only challenged me but prepared me for the intense work ethic needed to prosper in a working environment. These are some of the qualities I feel that are necessities to flourish in such a prestigious firm such as Oliver Wyman as it is necessary to be self-motivated and self-inspired to achieve success.

As a Maths student I have become more self-motivated and persistent when solving difficult problems. This is one of the most important qualities I have obtained that I feel will be a great benefit to Oliver Wyman. While In Business Management I have covered the theory behind financial decision making, I will only be able to enhance my knowledge further with the opportunity to learn the business from an insider’s point of view. In addition, I feel that Oliver Wyman would be the perfect place to implement the knowledge I have already gained and further develop my problem solving skills. Oliver Wyman is a firm that values people with intelligence, energy and passion, these are all attributes that I feel I possess and as an enthusiastic person with a commitment to excellence I feel that my presence in the company will be a great benefit to both parties.

Recently Oliver Wyman have called for Container Line Industry to focus on Revenue Management. With such strategic planning Oliver Wyman will need to recruit staff that are not only enthusiastic about new ideas but also innovative and meticulous so that high revenue generating ideas can be discussed and implemented on a regular basis. Moreover, I feel as a winner of the maths challenge award I have the demonstrated the ability to think outside the box in a timed conditions further demonstrating the necessary skills to prosper as an intern at Oliver Wyman.
