It is with great enthusiasm that I am submitting my application for the R&D Engineering position with Opalux. As a recently graduated Chemical Engineering, I have a keen interest in implementing new technologies and product development. With my previous experience developing new technologies, managing projects, and conducting detailed engineering studies, I am confident I will be a great addition to your team.

Beginning my engineering experience as Research and Development student iGEM Calgary (now FREDsense Technologies), allowed me to gain hands on product development experience. In the position, I designed various bioreactor prototypes to contain and promote genetically modified bacteria conversion of Naphthenic Acids to hydrocarbons. This position allowed me to explore all phases of product development from conceptualization to performance testing and later implementation. Designing the product extraction process, allowed me to explore various coatings and material to bind to the product and while ensuring bacterial containment. Working alongside this multidisciplinary team of biologist, chemists, and business professionals allowed me to gain an exposure to all aspects of business development.

Recently interning in the Well Integrity Integrity team at ConocoPhillips helped develop my project management and detailed engineering skills. Leading over 330 environmental/asset integrity inspections required strong organization skills, identifying preliminary inspection costs/scope, managing multiple inspection teams, reviewing inspection results/samples, and later coordinating remedial work amongst multiple departments. My strength in data analytics and implementing continuous improvement initiatives is showcased through the conclusive investigation on intermediate casing erosion occurring within Steam Assisted Gravity Drainage Wells. In doing so, I identified operation methods to prevent further wall loss and developed an enhanced erosion monitoring strategy. My involvements with multiple projects allowed quickly learn and apply various regulations, industry strategies, and software.
