Sample cover letter for Internship position at Overbrook

POSITION:

analyst

My name is and I am very interested in the internship program at Overbrook Entertainment. I am a junior Business Administration major at Morehouse College and am confident that with my experience, dedication, and passion for entertainment, I will be an excellent fit for this position.

Originally from Brooklyn, New York, entertainment has been engrained in my life through family, music, film, and television. Over the years, I realized that all I’ve wanted to be was one of those people who rolled by in the credits of a movie or television show. I just love the idea of being behind-the-scenes and helping make that magical entertainment experience.

A voracious reader, I am confident that my interest in learning about film and television development coupled with my ability to quickly summarize and break down complex topics makes me a great fit for this internship. Additionally, I have developed strong administrative and quantitative skills through a combination of my professional work experiences and academic coursework.

I have long been an admirer of Overbrook Entertainment — my favorite production is 2006’s The Pursuit of Happiness – and one of my life goals is to work for the company. With that, I believe that my passion for the company along with my varied experiences, skills, and eagerness to learn speak to my ability to be an outstanding intern.

Additionally, I have recently been accepted to a program where I’ll get to work with a company while attending the 2015 Cannes Film Festival. I’m excited for the opportunity to learn more about the industry and hope to bring the skills and knowledge acquired from that experience to Overbrook Entertainment this summer as an intern.
