Dear Sir/Madam,

I am a senior year student of IIT Delhi, pursuing B.Tech in Civil Engineering. I am eager to apply

for the post of Associate Consultant in The Parthenon Group.

A career in consulting has always appealed to me primarily because of the diversity and quality of

experiences it offers in an environment that requires continuous learning with results always at

the crosshairs. To always be able to build a synergy with clients from a broad range of industry

verticals will help me understand varied business scenarios. This is especially important to me as

throughout my life, I have loved to push myself out of my comfort zone and make game-changing

contributions, whether be it as a leader in debating activities who pushed his hostel to victory

after 8 straight years, an intern at Housing.com who designed a platform to monitor performance

or led a market research team in over six cities, or a team member in numerous Case studies and

B-Plan competitions, or a student that did an intern in every vacation of his college life from

startups to NGOs to big corporates. Such experiences have shown me that if there is one thing I

love, it is to be constantly challenged and to be able to make an impact by beating the challenge.

Consulting, and Parthenon in particular, offers me a chance to generate tangible results, and I

believe that my time at IIT has given me both the confidence and the quality of experience to be

successful in such and attempt.

Finally, after listening to around 10 consultancy firms at the Pre-Placement Talks and researching

them over the internet, I realized that two things about Parthenon clearly stood out. Firstly, the

policy of ‘Two-Case’ model and the generalist approach that allows an associate to gain more

experience by exposure to various industries, analyses and managers. I believe that, if selected,

this would allow me face challenges in various business scenarios and learn from them. Secondly,

the work culture and the atmosphere. Moreover, no other company stressed so much on

employee development, building strong inter-personal relationships with colleagues and

maintaining a healthy work-life balance. I hope I shall have an opportunity to be a part of your

illustrious firm and contribute to the continuing success of The Parthenon Group.
