Sample cover letter for Internship position at Pixar

POSITION:

Production Management Intern

To Whom It May Concern:

I am applying to be a production management intern and I believe my experience as a production assistant and a special events staff member at [Major bookstore] makes me a good candidate for the position.

As a production assistant, I’ve gained a real adaptability to work in a stressed environment on various productions. I am no stranger to a 16-hour workday on my feet, being pulled in every direction. I have been complimented on my attitude and take great pride in being the PA that always has a smile on her face.

At [Major bookstore], we host special events for authors and celebrities to sign their books. A typical to-do list for an event include: prepping as many as 300 books to be signed stock, prepping the event space and signing line, purchasing items at the author’s request, performing sound check, fielding customer and employee questions and clean up. These events can range from an intimate gathering of 50 people to a potential calamity of 700 teenagers. The more hectic the event, the happier I am at the end of the night when we close another successful signing.

I’ve always been a great fan of Pixar, Ratatouille being my go-to film, and I hope to work with you all very soon.
