Sample cover letter for Full Time position at Private Investment Firm

POSITION:

Financial Analyst

Dear Hiring Professional:

As a person that has been in the customer service industry for the past seven years I can

relate to and understand the importance of providing information in a prompt manner,

listen to client needs, demonstrate mutual respect and always have a professional

demeanor. With a degree in finance from North Carolina University, I have also gained

other valuable skills through academic coursework. As a finance student it was important

to develop the ability to use Excel to prepare asset allocation charts, risk scatter plot

graphs, and decision tree analysis; as well as other financial documents. Through work

experience and academics I have honed my communication skills for presentations,

customer contact, research and professional and technical writing.

My career goal is to join an investment advisory firm, specializing in both private wealth

and portfolio management. I am an individual that knows I may need to start out as an

intern and work my way through the industry to gain further knowledge and experience.

Equipped with leadership and interpersonal skills enhanced by education at an excellent

business school, and bolstered by unique experiences, I am confident that I can contribute

significantly to your firm. I appreciate your time and consideration in reviewing my

credentials and I look forward to speaking with you.
