I have chosen to apply to corporate finance for many reasons; one of the main reasons is the diversity that this business area offers. I would receive exposure to so many different aspects in financial advisory services. With this, I will be able to identify which specific area I find interesting and if this is the right career choice for me.

Another reason is the focus on clients and analytics corporate finance offers. I have over 2 years of experience in dealing with clients throughout my employment as store manager in my family business. In that time, I dealt with customer and suppliers daily, and have built strong relationships with them, as this is vital in retail. From this, I have learnt that I am good at working with new people and I enjoy it too, which is perfect as corporate finance fully satisfies this. Furthermore, I am very much interested in analytics. I have no doubt that corporate finance will satisfy this need as I know that strong analytics is also paramount in this business area.

Finally, the involvement of high-profile projects is another great aspect that encouraged me to apply. I view this as a great opportunity to work on extremely important projects that affect PwC greatly. I feel that I will learn a real sense of responsibility from this, which I can then take forward in my future career and this aspect is very exciting.
