Sample cover letter for Internship position at RBC

POSITION:

Summer Intern

Dear Hiring Manager,
Royal Bank of Canada has a reputation for being one of the world’s leading financial institutions, not just by market capitalization, but global footprint or service diversity, but by reputation. Developing innovative solutions to create a memorable client service experience, creating tangible results through their cross-sector expertise and skills – exactly what I have focussed on doing through my professional experience and as an International Business Management Major. Currently, in my last year as an International Business Management Major, my background makes me a great candidate for the Client Service Representative at the Royal Bank of Canada.

Throughout my various roles, I built my worth ethic on three simple principles to strive for customer satisfaction: Respectful, Responsive, and Reliable. I have a passion for working the front lines to create unique customer service, closing sale opportunities, and encouraging my team members to bring their best to the counter. More specifically, my accounts analysis work at Questrade particularly focused on working clientele trade settlement, which required carrying out transactions, working on the front lines to create customer satisfaction, solving problems and spotting sales opportunities, and communicating with internal employees based on expected transaction schedule. This work then resulted in cost-effective transfer cycle times – which satisfied clients, boosted profit margins, client satisfaction and strengthened our production goals. While working at McDonalds Corporation, I volunteered with the Ronald McDonald Organization to learn more about achieving customer satisfaction as the Vice-President of Admin/Finance, where I correlated with a number of volunteers to work the front lines to raise awareness of the cause increasing profits.
