I am a human resources professional with over three year’s HR consulting experience post my MBA and I would love to bring my knowledge and passion to the human resources team at Roche.

My interest for the HR Perspectives program stems from my time spent in Novartis’
Global office. I thoroughly enjoyed my involvement in helping create a
compensation strategy for the European region. The platform to connect with and
learn from over 20 HR/ C&B heads from across the region at a large
pharmaceutical firm was an enriching experience. I also created an opportunity
to visit Roche’s office to meet a b-school alumnus to get his views on the
impact of HR on the pharmaceutical industry.
The pharmaceutical industry is undergoing a huge change and a leader in
innovation like Roche will have issues relating to drug expiry, rising costs of
developing super specialty molecules and pricing regulations at the top of a
CxO’s list. Focussing on issues such as talent and change management as part of
the HR transformation agenda will help the HR function align itself to the
larger goal of transforming the organization. I believe my experience in
managing a large scale HR transformation exercise for India’s biggest private
sector entity will help me contribute to an organization of Roche’s stature.
Lastly, Basel’s multicultural population is a huge incentive to look forward to
working and staying in the region. During the internship, as part of an 8
member team representing 6 different nationalities, I was exposed to varied
opinions and beliefs both at work and outside which excited me to explore a
long term opportunity such as this.
I look forward to having a chance to present myself to the Roche’s recruitment
team to further convince of my suitability for the HR Perspectives Program.
