POSITION:

Consultant

Dear sir or madam,

I am a BSc graduate of University College London in Economics. In addition to the prestige, I was introduced to Roland Berger in detail via friends working at the firm and was impressed with what I learned of the corporate environment and culture there. I am applying for Junior Consultant in Roland Berger.

My passion for consulting stems from my entrepreneurial spirit, desire for responsibility and hunger for challenges; I would like to develop my interpersonal skills and analytical abilities to pursue a long-term career in this area. I am attracted to your Consultant position because it is a unique opportunity to present advice to clients in top-tier multi-national corporations and gained valuable cross-industry experiences through focusing on a wide variety of business problems. Roland Berger is my dream company to start my career because it is a top player in the premier league of international consultancies with friendly environment, and emphasis on diversity. I believe I will gain excellent experience by working alongside industry professionals.

As part of my preparations for my professional pursuits, I studied Economics at UCL. Here, I developed effective problem-solving skills through various quantitative modules, such as Applied Economics and Econometrics. Attending these courses enriched my theoretical knowledge and improved my skills in numerical and statistical analyses. While my previous experience in designing financial planning for different clients at HSBC and Aviva allowed me to develop my risk-related knowledge as well as client interaction skills in a systematic way. During my work experience in venture capital, I had to work closely with start-ups in providing advisory services, focusing on management and marketing services, which developed my analytical skills and presentation skills. Moreover, I developed a strong interest in integrating quantitative models as a research intern at Nielsen, where I work alongside with Consumer Insights team to provide appropriate industry reports for customized client requests. I believe my creativity combined with my analytical and quantitative skills would be a valuable asset to your company.

Thanks for you time and consideration, I look forward to hearing from you.
