Sample cover letter for Internship position at SAP

POSITION:

java developer

I am applying in response to your posting at the Linkedin, for the Software Developer Co-op position. I was delighted on seeing the challenging responsibilities that this post commands, which complements my aspirations and interests. With 2 yrs of Software Engineering experience in Infosys Ltd, and with a pervasive knowledge in the latest computer technologies (J2EE) and programming languages (C, C++, Java, Python, JavaScript, HTML, SQL, PL/SQL, jQuery), I seem confident that with a profile like mine, your company can attain greater heights in J2EE technology.
Back in Infosys, I was one among the team involved with developing a J2EE Market Analysis Web Site, based on liferay portal framework, for a reputed Bank in America. My responsibilities included developing a portlet according to the customer requirements and following all software processes that is in place, right from its conception to deployment. I was fortunate enough from having worked in many software development methodologies like Waterfall and Agile methodology in this project. I was predominantly used in research intensive tasks given my agility in grasping complex things and vigor for learning new programming languages/algorithms. Considering my impeccable track record of fixing defects, I was also deployed for debugging various critical issues that plagued the system for years. During my work tenure, I had also learnt many frameworks like JSF, JPA, Liferay and UI libraries like jQuery.
As far as my academic projects in Concordia University, are concerned, I had developed an AI based search engine and also a Web service composition algorithm using AI planning graph.
On the whole, my knowledge, experience coupled with my attitude to learn new technologies, I resemble an ideal candidate for this job. I have attached my resume here with this letter for your perusal. I would like to thank you for your time for having considered my application. I am looking forward to meet you in person.
