Sample cover letter for Full Time position at SUPERB

POSITION:

Comedy Intern

My name is ___ and I am applying to be considered for a position in the Comedy department

Upon graduation I would love to work in the entertainment industry and feel that an internship with SUPERB would be an amazing opportunity to learn about how entertainment events get produced and actually participate in the process of planning one. I have always been a fan of comedy filmmakers like Woody Allen and Judd Apatow and enjoy listening to comedy podcasts such as WTF with Marc Maron and RISK. Additionally last summer, I was lucky enough to attend a few stand-up shows in New York City and fell in love with the medium. I feel that an internship with SUPERB Comedy would offer the opportunity to learn about the booking, promotion, and production of comedy shows as well as the chance to connect with others who share my interest in the medium.

Throughout college, I’ve interned at both __ and ___ where I gained experience in project management within the entertainment industry. I’ve also worked at ___ as an Arts and Entertainment Multimedia reporter. Through my experiences, I attended various concerts, films, and gallery shows and got to interview artists such as Danny Brown and Zola Jesus. The opportunity to collaborate and contribute to SUPERB’s Comedy shows would be an incredible learning opportunity and a natural extension of the work and academic experience I have gained.

I am eager to immerse myself in SUPERB’s creative culture and work alongside visionaries who are as passionate about creative entertainment as I am.If you have additional questions about my background or would like to set up an interview, I can be reached at _.

Thank you for taking the time to consider my application.

Sincerely,

___.
