REF:APPLICATION FOR INTERN - FINANCIAL PLANNING SYSTEMS DEVELOPER.
In reference to the advertisement on 23nd June 2016 on www.safaricom.co.ke for the Intern - Financial
Planning Systems Developer. I hereby submit my application for the same since I have been looking forward
to being part and working for a high profile institution like this and also my believe that Safaricom Ltd, is the
best platform for me to showcase my skills as well as develop my career.
I completed my undergraduate program of BSc in Information Sciences with a major in Information
Technology December 2015 and currently awaiting to graduate in December 2016. My former position as an
Intern at General Motors East Africa since January 2016 to April 2016 in the Information, Communication
and Technology department has exposed me to various aspects of Information, Communication and
Technology systems including functionality, testing, implementation, management and maintenance of
Systems and Networks, IT Service desk which are vital for effective delivery of duties associated with this
job. In a nutshell, I have working knowledge in Linux, Java and C# languages and troubleshooting and
problem solving of both systems and networks.
This all has been enhanced by the soft skills like team work, strong communication skills, report writing,
willingness to learn, ability to work under pressure and interpersonal relations I have developed and
demonstrated over time, as it would hold me in a good stead to face any potential obstacles that I am bound
to come across during my working. I am available for further discussion about the same.
